Gomez started the season as Liverpool’s first-choice centre-back alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the back, but has lost his place to Joel Matip over the last couple of months.
The young defender has struggled to win his spot in the side back and is now being linked with a move to The Emirates. It is hard to see why Liverpool would consider letting Gomez join one of their rivals, unless Arsenal pay over the odds for him – which would be a bad move for the Gunners. If he is too expensive, it would be better to look for cheaper options abroad.
