Leeds fans delighted with Arsenal’s stance on Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal currently have no plans to recall Eddie Nketiah from his season-long loan with Leeds United, and the news, as expected, has gone down extremely well with the Whites faithful.

David Ornstein of The Athletic claimed on Monday that there is the possibility of a return to north London in the new year should the striker not meet a performance-related condition of the deal.

However, Ornstein then revealed that parties from all sides are confident that Elland Road is the best destination for the forward to continue his development.

Ornstein also revealed that three Arsenal officials travelled to Yorkshire to watch Nketiah against West Brom, only for the striker to be an unused substitute in a 1-0 win.

The latest update quickly made its way across social media, and several Leeds fans shared their delight at the news.

It doesn’t come as a major surprise to see that the Gunners are happy for the forward to remain under Marcelo Bielsa’s guidance.

Yes, they would’ve liked to have seen the striker start in the league by now, but several influential displays from the bench has put the forward in a strong position to establish himself as first choice.

Patrick Bamford’s last goal came back in August, and with Nketiah the club’s top scorer this season, we think it’s only a matter of time until he either takes Bamford’s place or turns out alongside him from the off.
