Arsenal fans continue to hail Guendouzi after forgotten Palace moment resurfaces

Arsenal fans have continued to hail Matteo Guendouzi after the Frenchman’s superb moment during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

The midfielder, who has turned out in all but two of the Gunners’ fixtures this season, committed a brilliant late foul on Wilfried Zaha, but it was his technical excellence in the first half that had plenty of fans talking.

Guendouzi picked the ball up in a wide defensive area before picking out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who failed to finish.

Gunners fan @PatrickTimmons1 shared the clip on social media on Monday, which led to these Arsenal supporters heaping praise on the youngster.

@monsericsson: Prime Scholes at Matteo there, but very much Theo Walcott over Auba’s action.

Guendouzi’s start to the season has been one of a few bright sparks at the Emirates in recent months, and more excellent individual moments like these will only strengthen his popularity in north London.

It’s clear to see he’s got everything that is needed to make it at the top level, which is an extremely exciting prospect for everyone associated with the Gunners.
