Numerous Arsenal supporters have called for Unai Emery to make Matteo Guendouzi captain following Granit Xhaka’s gestures towards the crowd against Crystal Palace.
Xhaka’s place as club captain is set to be discussed later this week following the incident which overshadowed Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Palace on Sunday.
And amid uncertainty over whether Xhaka will remain as the Gunners’ captain, these supporters would love to see Guendouzi given the armband

Arsenal and Emery certainly appear to have a big decision to make with regards to Xhaka’s role at the club, with the Gunners boss publicly criticising the midfielder for his response.
Emery was clearly unhappy with his reaction and Guendouzi may well emerge as a candidate for the next Arsenal skipper if Xhaka is forced to step down as captain.
