Arsenal manager Unai Emery has refused to reveal why he is continuing to leave Mesut Ozil out of his first-team squad.
The German international hasn’t been in the squad for several weeks now and it is causing concern amongst Arsenal fans, who want the playmaker to be starting matches.
Earlier this season, Emery revealed that other players “deserved” a place in the squad more than Ozil and when quizzed on Sky Sports about why he is repeatedly left out, Emery said:
Now is not the moment to speak about him.

A large portion of Arsenal fans want to see Emery sacked and one of the things that has turned the fans against him is his decision not to select Ozil, who is a fan-favourite.
Ozil has insisted that he is happy at the club, but Emery doesn’t seem to have the German in his plans at the club.
The pressure is growing on Emery, whilst Ozil is being linked with moves away from north London. The fact that Emery refused to answer why he isn’t selecting Ozil will anger Arsenal fans, who will feel that they deserve to know.
