Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Athletic Bilbao centre-back Unai Nunez, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
The defender is a target for Arsenal and has a £30m release clause in his contract.

Nunez is being monitored by various clubs across Europe, with Everton also said to be keen. Bayern are on the hunt for a new centre-back after losing Nicolas Sule for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury.
The Gunners are still quite shaky at the back and Emery has identified Nunez as a player who could potentially solve the problem.
Is Bayern’s interest a blow to Arsenal’s hopes?

Absolutely. When a team like Bayern come calling, they’re rarely rejected.
Nunez will also know that he will be getting plenty of game time for the Bavarian club because of the injury to Sule, whereas Arsenal have plenty of competition at centre-back.
Bayern are also one of the favourites for the UEFA Champions League, which will be a bit appeal to Nunez. It could end up being a big battle for his signature and the Gunners should do everything they can to bring him to London.
