Arsenal have identified Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai as a potential alternative to Dani Ceballos, should they fail to sign the Spaniard on a permanent basis.
According to football.london, as cited on the Express, the Gunners could move for the Hungarian instead after an impressive season with Salzburg.
Football.london’s report suggests that Arsenal have already held talks with Salzburg over a move for the player earlier this year.

Szoboszlai has caught the eye in the Champions League this season and looks like he could have plenty of suitors heading into the next summer transfer window.
With two goals to his name already this season, Szoboszlai has one more goal in all competitions when compared to Ceballos (1).

Standing at over six feet tall, Szoboszlai also provides much more of a physical presence in midfield when compared against his Spanish counterpart.
Financially, a move for the latter could make more sense for Arsenal too. It remains to be seen how much Salzburg would demand for the player, but it has been suggested that Ceballos could cost around £30 million. Coming from Salzburg may help the Gunners wager a deal for a smaller fee.
