Arsenal manager Unai Emery has claimed that he is not currently thinking about a permanent deal for Dani Ceballos.
When asked about a potential transfer, Emery said that it is too early to think about, considering his loan expires next summer.
Speaking to The Mirror, Emery said this:
I think it is very soon to say that. Ceballos is doing great things here, he is playing regularly.
But always all the players need time to adapt to the Premier League. He’s in that process and I really want to accelerate it.
We are trying to use that energy and enthusiasm reflected in the way we want to play.
He has had some good games, sometimes it’s not been easy for him. But I think that’s normal.

Is he right?
Yes. Ceballos has only been at the club for just over two months and has not even nailed down his place in the starting XI. He has often found himself sitting on the bench, with the likes of Xhaka, Guendouzi and Willock picked ahead of him.
If he is unable to regularly make the starting line-up, why should Arsenal splash out on a permanent deal? It makes more sense for Arsenal to wait until the end of the season and assess his situation based on what he has done over the course of a year on loan, rather than a couple of months.
