Ian Wright has slammed Unai Emery for his comments that followed Arsenal’s Monday night defeat against Sheffield United.

Speaking after the game, Emery claimed that the Gunners ‘didn’t deserve to lose’, something that clearly angered Wright.

Arsenal were by no means the better side and many have credited the home side for their impressive display.

Absolutely.

The comments really were the last thing that Arsenal fans would’ve wanted to hear after that performance at Bramall Lane.

The Gunners were so far from their best and it really felt like a kick in the teeth to hear that from Emery.

Big things were expected from the Gunners this season, espically after the signing of Nicolas Pepe. It looked like everything was set up for the club to return to the Champions League, but as things stand they have flattered to deceive.

Following the result against Chris Wilder’s side, there is now genuine concern among supporters that they may not qualify for the Champions League this season – Emery is not helping himself or the current mood around the club by poor comments like those.
