Arsenal have joined the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Southampton in expressing an interest in young Hearts defender Aaron Hickey.

As reported by Football365, the Gunners are also keen to pick him up after his impressive displays in Scotland.

The young left-back has been attracting a wealth of interest and it looks like Hearts may struggle to hold on to him for much longer.

Fellow Premier League sides Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also said to be keen.

Hickey is an interesting player to keep an eye on. For some of the Premier League big boys, this would be a long-term addition.

The Gunners themselves have only recently added Kieran Tierney to their ranks, so it’s unlikely that Hickey would be competing for first-team football anytime soon.

However, with Sead Kolasinac seemingly past his best, Hickey could be a good option to bring into the side a couple of years time.

As a player who could eventually compete with Tierney for a spot in the first-team, Hickey would be a valuable addition.

Judging by the teams named in the report, the problem may Arsenal have is that there could be other suitors who can offer him first-team football much quicker than Arsenal can.
