Arsenal and Manchester City interested in January Isco swoop

Real Madrid are open to letting Isco leave the club in January, with Arsenal and Manchester City among the teams said to be interested.

According to AS, the player is considering a January exit, with the 26-year-old wary that the European championships are only around the corner.

The Premier League has emerged as an option for the player after being told he must play regularly to nail down a spot in the Spain squad.

As January signings go, Isco would be a fantastic addition for the Gunners.

We’re likely to see more deals like this over the coming months, with players ready to prioritise their immediate international futures.

Game time is certainly more likely at Arsenal when compared to Manchester City and if Mesut Ozil is to leave the club, there could be an opening for Isco in North London.

Much like Dani Ceballos, the 27-year-old has lost his way at Real Madrid. After falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane, Isco has made just four appearances in La Liga this season and a stint in England could help him get back to his glittering best.

Real Madrid know that they need to move players on if they want to sign the likes of Christian Eriksen and with Isco open to the move – this could be a deal that works for all parties.
