Former Tottenham man Michael Dawson has warned his nephew Joey not to sign for Arsenal, amid suggestions the Gunners are keen to snap him up.
The Gunners had been linked with a move for the 16-year-old midfielder after breaking through at Scunthorpe United.
Speaking about the links on talkSPORT, as cited on the Metro, Dawson said:
When I saw that [rumour] the other day I thought he’s signing for the wrong side in north London!
What does this mean for Arsenal?

At this stage, it looks like nothing more than Arsenal keeping tabs on a promising youngster.
Should he continue to impress in the Football League, you can bet Dawson will be in his ear urging him not to sign for Arsenal.
Of course, it’s never quite as simple as that. The midfielder, along with those around him will need to decide where they think the next best step will be.
As things stand currently, the youngsters coming through the ranks at the Emirates have a better chance than ever before of breaking into the team.
While Dawson, at only 16 years of age, would be more of a long-term signing, the North London club are showing a willingness to promote youth and offer them a clear path to the first-team squad.
