Arsenal’s chances of signing Dani Ceballos on a permanent deal may be boosted by Zinedine Zidane’s stance on the player.

In a recent report by Bleacher Report, it is claimed that Zidane ‘has no faith’ in the player and wanted to sell him over the summer.

The two haven’t always seen eye-to-eye during their respective spells at the club, so could this open thee door to a permanent Arsenal move?

Zidane made no secret about his desire to bring Paul Pogba to the club over the summer and Ceballos’ move away would have helped fund that.

This could all work in Arsenal’s favour if Zidane is to remain in charge at the Bernebeu for the long term.

In their current predicament, the Spanish giants feel like an ever-changing scenario where he could be coming or going.

However, Arsenal should also keep an eye on the links to both Christian Eriksen and Ajax’s Donny van de Beek, two players who would both force Ceballos even further down the pecking order.

With aspirations to hold down a regular place in the Spain squad, Ceballos will be fully aware that he needs to be playing regularly.

Arsenal can provide him with that opportunity and if he goes on to impress over the course of this season, a permanent deal looks to be a no-brainer.

All that will be left for Arsenal to do is negotiate a deal with the Spanish giants after his initial loan move expires, which may be easier said than done.
