Arsenal fans not keen on latest Unai Nunez links – but a deal could be a smart move
A section of Arsenal fans have been left unimpressed by the club’s latest transfer target.
The Gunners are thought to be interested in Athletic Bilbao defender Unai Nunez, with club officials travelling to Spain to watch the 22-year-old in action this season.
Arsenal have been left encouraged over a potential deal due to the Spaniard’s absence from the first-team.
Nunez began the campaign in fine form but has had to settle for a place on the bench in recent weeks due to Inigo Martinez’s return from injury.
Arsenal fan page @LTArsenal shared the news regarding the links, however, these supporters weren’t too keen on the idea of bringing another Unai to north London.

Some supporters may be put off purely because of his name, but there’s no denying it could be a shrewd piece of business.
Unai Emery may be keen on strengthening his defensive ranks in the new year, and a deal for Nunez could be financially realistic.
Nunez is still fairly young and has shown glimpses of promise over the last 12 months.
He’s quick, strong and good on the ball, and a possible deal for the Spanish international would then give the Gunners three young options at the heart of the defence, with Rob Holding and William Saliba expected to establish themselves in the first-team over the coming years.
