Arsenal are reportedly tracking Olympiacos winger Daniel Podence.
That’s according to Greek website Sportime, cited by Sports Witness, who claim that the Gunners, along with La Liga side Sevilla and an unnamed Premier League club, are monitoring the 23-year-old ahead of a future move.
Podence has scored two goals this season, one of which came against Tottenham in a 2-2 Champions League encounter, so he’s already popular with the Gunners faithful.

The report goes on to add that the Portuguese attacker could be allowed to leave should any side make a bid around Olympiacos’ €25 million valuation.
If they decide to launch a move in January, what would Podence bring to the Emirates?

Podence mainly plies his trade on the wing, however, he’s shown during his time with Olympiacos and former side Sporting Lisbon that he is capable of playing in behind the striker.

He possesses a quick turn of pace and isn’t afraid of taking defenders on in one on one situations.
Other qualities Podence carries include an eye for goal and his creative ability in the final third, however, his lack of physical strength could be a problem in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will be willing to bolster their attacking options in the new year, but if they do, a €25 million move for Podence could be a shrewd piece of business.
