Arsenal fans have taken time to reflect on Nacho Monreal’s Gunners career while heaping praise on summer signing Kieran Tierney.
Tierney completed a deadline day move from Celtic over the summer, shortly after Monreal made the switch back to Spain with Real Sociedad.

The Scot has made two appearances for the Gunners after returning from injury, catching the eye in both.
Meanwhile, Monreal, 33, who started the first three league games of the season for Arsenal, has enjoyed a solid run in the Sociedad side, helping them to fifth in La Liga.
And while Arsenal fan @PatrickTimmons1 was heaping praise on the impressive Tierney, he also had time to share some love for Monreal.

Did the club make a mistake in selling the experienced full-back?

Personally, we think the Gunners may live to regret their decision to part ways with Monreal.
The Spaniard was a firm favourite in north London and he’s shown he still has a few high-level campaigns left in the tank.
He would have helped Tierney settle into Premier League life, while also being able to compete regularly in the Gunners’ cup competitions.
Arsenal have been left with Sead Kolasinac to rival Tierney, and following some recent shaky displays, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he the Bosnian was left out of the side when Unai Emery’s side travel to Sheffield United.
