Saka not allowed in the first-team dressing room – is it time for this to change?

Despite being one of the club’s most promising stars, Bukayo Saka is not allowed in the first-team dressing room at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground.

According to the Daily Star, the player has not yet been ‘invited’ to join the first-team group.

Saka has been on the fringes of the first-team squad this season, getting his first taste of senior football.

As one of the club’s future stars, is it time for Arsenal to change this rule?

This does seem a little outdated.

Saka could potentially be the future of this club and with many other promising youngsters coming through the ranks, integrating the academy and the first-team squad could be a masterstroke by the club.

Allowing these young stars to learn from the more senior and experienced pros could benefit their development massively.

Of course, it’s great to make sure that these players stay grounded and work their way up, but Saka is doing exactly that.

He was named Man of the Match against Frankfurt in the Europa League earlier in the campaign and now has three Premier League appearances under his belt – it’s time for Arsenal to officially make him a ‘first-team squad member’.
