Fans react after former Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech signs for Ice Hockey team

Fans are shocked as Petr Cech has announced a new career path after retiring from football at the end of last season.

The Czech goalkeeper, who enjoyed several seasons at Arsenal, has signed as a netminder for ice hockey side Guildford Phoenix.

Cech is set to begin his career in ice hockey this weekend, but many are shocked that the former Arsenal and Chelsea man has swapped sports.

This is certainly a surprising career path for the former Arsenal man, but he has admitted he is a big fan of the sport after watching it a lot as a child.

We’ll have to see if he can transfer his superb goalkeeping skills to the ice.

Who knows? One day he may reach the NHL.
