Arsenal and Chelsea are both reportedly interested in a deal to sign young Anderlecht winger Jeremy Doku.

According to Calciomercato, as cited on Sky Sports, the two Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on his development in Belgium.

The left-winger has broken into the first-team squad under Vincent Kompany this season and is already attracting some big interest.

He may only be 17 years of age, but Doku’s seven league appearances this season are a sign of how highly he is rated by the Belgian outfit.

Chelsea are currently under a transfer ban until next summer, although reports have suggested that could change in the new year.

If the Blues are unable to strike a deal in January, it would be in Arsenal’s best interest to act quickly if they want to secure a deal.

Arsenal do already have a number of players breaking through in wide positions, so game time may not be guranteed for Doku at the Emirates.

Given that he is already playing first-team football, either of the two clubs could look to seal a deal and loan him back to the Belgian outfit for a season or two to continue his development.

He’s certainly a name to keep an eye on in the months to come as he continues to impress in the Pro League.
