Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has hit back angrily at Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his comments about the German club’s chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Watzke started the feud, claiming that the Gabon international striker only moved to Arsenal for financial reasons.

The forward responded by calling Watzke a clown and this did not sit well with Zorc, who believes Aubameyang didn’t need to take it that far. As quoted on Talksport, he said:
My feeling is that Auba took the wrong tone here and had the wrong choice of words. Hans-Joachim Watzke did not say anything bad and did not mean anything bad.
In the time Auba was with us, during four-and-a-half years, we have always stood behind him even in difficult situations.
In that sense, I cannot understand now why he’s had such a strong and exaggerated reaction.
Does this feud need to stop?

This spat is getting ugly. Firstly, there was no need for Watzke to make such comments about Aubameyang. The striker left a long time ago and is now a huge success at Arsenal.
Aubameyang will feel that he was only defending himself, but in certain situations, saying nothing is better than airing your thoughts.
This whole incident looks bad on Borussia Dortmund, Aubameyang and Arsenal and the quicker the matter is buried, the better for all parties.
