Martin Odegaard has no desire to leave Real Sociedad in January, despite the rising interest from the Premier League, with Liverpool and Man United the latest teams to be linked.
Arsenal and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the player in recent days, but according to a report from the Metro, United and Liverpool have also entered the race.
Despite the growing interest in his services, he says he’s not thinking about a move anytime soon.
My intention is to stay [at Sociedad] two years and I think that’s important for me, too. I have had two seasons in a row where I’ve changed teams. To have some stability is good [and] this is a great club and hopefully, we can get European football for next season.
Is this a good thing for both him and potential suitors?

Regardless of where Odegaard sees his future, be it in Madrid or the Premier League, he must surely see out at least this season with Sociedad.
He has started the campaign brilliantly and it would be a bad career decision to cut that short halfway through the season.
The biggest problem Odegaard has faced in his early career to date is the lack of regular game time at senior level. Finally, he has that after a promising spell in the Eredivisie before returning to Spain.
Holding off until the summer would also benefit any potential suitors looking to snap him up. By allowing him more time to develop on the pitch, anybody that could secure a deal would be getting a much-improved and matured young talent.
