Emiliano Martinez has continued to impress Arsenal supporters both on and off the pitch.
The 27-year-old, who recently earned a first call-up to the Argentina national side, is currently the Gunners’ second-choice keeper, but he’s not happy being Bernd Leno’s understudy.
Martinez made his third appearance of the season on Thursday in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Standard Liege, however, it was his recent comments that left many fans talking on social media.
Arsenal fan @PatrickTimmons1 shared the South American’s quotes, with the shot-stopper desperate to become first-choice at the Emirates.

It’s clear to see that Martinez doesn’t lack confidence, and his elite mentality is something Arsenal fans can definitely get used to.
He’s yet to make a mistake for the Gunners this season and looks certain to feature in Arsenal’s cup competitions for the remainder of the season.
And if Leno endures a tricky time of it in the Premier League, who knows, we could see Martinez promoted quicker than even he many expected.
