Arsenal fans laugh off suggestions that Winks is better than Guendouzi

Tottenham’s Harry Winks has been one of the few bright sparks in their otherwise poor start to the season.

Spurs are continuing to struggle after an embarrassing midweek thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The same cannot be said for Matteo Guendouzi though, with the Frenchman enjoying a fine season for the Gunners so far.

Such is the rivalry between the two sides, this has naturally led to some comparisons between the two midfielders.

However, these Arsenal fans on social media have laughed off suggestions that Winks is a better player than Guendouzi.

It’s easy to see why Winks is highly rated among the Tottenham fan base, but the same can be said for Guendouzi at Arsenal.

Both players have grown into key roles within their respective sides both this season and in the latter stages of the previous campaign.

It must be said that Guendouzi is a slightly different player in midfield when compared to Winks, arguably a little more mobile and energetic in the middle of the park.

Interestingly, WhoScored have given Guendouzi a rating of 7.08 for his Premier League appearances so far this season. Winks – three years his senior – has only been given a rating of 6.78.
