# Arsenal fans hit out at Pulisic as rival supporters slam Pepe

Arsenal fans have hit out at Chelsea’s big-money signing Christian Pulisic after numerous Blues fans slammed Nicolas Pepe following his disappointing display against Manchester United.

The American has featured just once in the last six games under Frank Lampard, completing 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup win over Grimsby Town. The 21-year-old cost the Blues £58 million from Borussia Dortmund back in January but has failed to hit the ground running in London.

The same can be said for Gunners star Pepe. The Ivorian has turned out more times than Pulisic but has struggled to make an instant impact at Emirates, which has led to rival fans mocking the 24-year-old.

However, these Arsenal fans couldn’t bite their tongues any longer and took to social media to back their club-record signing by hitting out at Pulisic.

> Twitter: £60m by the way & he looked out of place against Grimbsy from what I’ve heard, but I see Chelsea fans more worried… https://t.co/Mz47zg47Y2 (@afcpadraig)

> Twitter: Nicolas Pépé has been absolutely ripped into by fans yet I’ve hardly heard a word about Pulisic? He only cost £14m… https://t.co/dMGJbYLiFo (@PatrickTimmons1)

### Read Arsenal verdict

Pepe has been heavily criticised in recent weeks, however, there has been nothing in Pulisic’s direction, even though he can’t force his way into Lampard’s side.

There are three years between the pair and just a £14 million price gap, so the American shouldn’t be getting away with it just because he isn’t getting minutes at Stamford Bridge.

It’s good to see some Arsenal fans giving it back to their rivals, with Pepe being the hot topic amongst Chelsea and Tottenham supporters this week.

We’re adamant that Pepe will come good over the coming months, so maybe Chelsea should be worried about their own big-money signing instead of hitting out at Arsenal’s.
