It was reported earlier in the week that Arsenal are looking to extend both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contracts at the club.
Both players have been crucial to the Gunners this season and have established themselves as firm fan favourites.
Aubameyang, in particular, has been forced to be the club’s saviour in several key moments already this season.
After hearing about the contract news, these Arsenal fans on social media have been expressing their delight.

Securing these two players to new contracts will be a major boost for the club if they can get it over the line in the near future.
Given his age and wage demands, extending Aubameyang’s deal may be a more controversial decision to some, but when you look at the form he has shown this season and how heavily the club have relied on him, they would be foolish not to.
Arsenal’s controversial contract policy has seen them lose players like Aaron Ramsey on free transfers in recent years, but it appears that the club are looking to avoid a repeat of that going forward.
