Arsenal-linked Dayot Upamecano will see his release clause lowered from €80 million to €60 million in 2020.
According to reports in France from L’Equipe, as cited on football.london, the French defender could now be available a little cheaper as of next year.
The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Upamecano in the summer and it was even reported that they had a £55 million bid rejected for the player.
Knowing that he could now be available for a similar price, should they go back in with another bid for the Frenchman?

If Arsenal have the funds available to go back in for Upamecano then it’s certainly something the club should consider.
The RB Leipzig star is one of the finest young defenders in Europe and has a massive future ahead of him. He has started the season brilliantly for Leipzig, earning a WhoScored rating of 7.41 from his opening Bundesliga matches.
The Gunners should see a move more as an investment, with him and William Saliba in their ranks, they would have a great partnership that could blossom at the back for years to come.
With Rob Holding returning back to full fitness and David Luiz joining the club over the summer, it remains to be seen if the Gunners are still in the market for a defender. However, if they can secure a deal, Upamecano would help Unai Emery put together a formidable backline at the Emirates.
