# Arsenal fans rue the decision to let Gnabry, Malen and Reine-Adelaide leave

After seeing Serge Gnabry single-handedly dismantle Tottenham in the Champions League, Arsenal fans have once again been left to rue the decision to let the player leave the club.

However, it’s not just Gnabry who has gone on to develop into a very promising talent since leaving the Gunners, as [one fan pointed out on Twitter](https://twitter.com/gunnerpunner/status/1179127910453710850?s=20).

Citing not only Gnabry but also Donyell Malen who has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season at PSV and also Jeff Reine-Adelaide – who joined Lyon in a big-money deal over the summer.

The trio would have made for a youthful attacking line-up at the Emirates and these fans on social media aren’t too pleased to be missing out on their talent.

> Twitter: Imagine if a team could have Jeff, Gnabry & Malen in their squad, all signed on a free. Imagine then letting them go for nothing. (@gunnerpunner)

### Read Arsenal verdict

It’s a sad moment for these Arsenal fans, as they witness their former young stars develop into brilliant talents on a European stage.

Of course, it leaves them wondering what could have been. However, it must be said that things may have been very different if the three aforementioned players remained at the club.

Gnabry is a brilliant example of how forcing a move away and testing yourself in a new environment can be really beneficial for a player. He was someone that desperately needed some first-team football and he wasn’t going to get that at Arsenal.

Maybe, just maybe the club will be more wary about the young stars that they let go in the future.
