Arsenal and Manchester City have been linked with a shock move for Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard – but is he worth the staggering price tag?
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant start to the La Liga season on loan with Real Sociedad, turning out alongside former Gunners defender Nacho Monreal.

And according to Spanish outlet Eldesmarque, cited by TEAMTalk, both the Gunners and Premier League champions Manchester City are interested in a future move for the playmaker, with Madrid preparing to demand up to €80 million (£70m) for his services.
Arsenal see the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Mesut Ozil, while City view the Norwegian as an ideal signing to come in for David Silva, who is set to depart the Etihad at the end of the season.
But should the Gunners be willing to splash up to £70 million on the youngster?

Odegaard is finally starting to show with Sociedad why Madrid decided to sign him as a 16-year-old back in 2015, but there’s no way the Gunners should even attempt to sign him for their asking price tag.
They splashed a similar amount on Nicolas Pepe over the summer, however, the Ivorian justified that fee with an excellent individual season in Ligue 1 with Lille.
The Gunners will more than likely be on the lookout for a creative midfielder over the next 12 months with Ozil set to move on, however, we think that Arsenal could do much better with a £70 million budget.
