# Flaherty tells friends he wants West Ham move – is he making a mistake?

Arsenal youngster Stan Flaherty has reportedly informed his close friends of his desire to leave the club, as he aims to complete a move to join West Ham.

[Football Insider reports](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-teen-attacker-tells-friends-he-wants-to-quit-pl-giants-join-west-ham/) that the player is keen to join the Hammers after enjoying a successful trial period at the club.

It’s claimed that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are still yet to decide on a move for the midfielder.

Does he have a better chance of securing first-team football at the London Stadium?

With seemingly no future in the first-team squad at Arsenal, Flaherty clearly fancies his chances of breaking through at West Ham.

The Hammers themselves already have a host of talented young stars, so it won’t be easy for him there by any means.

Arsenal have proven this season that chances will come for the young stars who show themselves to be worthy of a place in the first-team squad, so Flaherty may look back on this decision with an element of regret.

Unfortunately for him, it looks like he has been fallen by the wayside in the current crop of youngsters coming through the ranks at the Emirates – with his future looking to be elsewhere.
