Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up on his situation at the club, just months after he was linked with a move to Manchester United.

Manchester United were linked with a late summer move for Aubameyang, who has been a key player for the Gunners since his arrival in the Premier League. The reports never materialised, and the Gabon international ended up staying in London.

In an interview with Sky Sports, quoted by the Daily Mirror, Aubameyang voiced his views on his situation:

I’m sure we can do it and I am honestly happy to be here. I feel very good. For the next few years we want to play at a high level and win trophies. That’s what we are talking about.

This comes just before both sides are set to meet in the Premier League this evening, in what is a crunch fixture for both sides.

Aubameyang’s comments will be music to the ears of the Arsenal fans. He’s become a fan favourite since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 and has been a key part of the Arsenal side.

He is a clinical striker and he would’ve been a massive loss for Arsenal, especially if they were to lose him to a rival in the Premier League.

But now that Aubameyang has said he is happy at the club, he will be able to push on and help Arsenal make strides towards becoming a Champions League side once again.
