Emmanuel Frimpong has suggested that Arsenal struggle to keep hold of their key players and uses Robin van Persie as the prime example; a problem that Unai Emery must strive to change.
According to Goal via MetaRatings, Frimpong believes that the Gunners seriously struggled following Van Persie’s departure to Manchester United and losing their key men is a problem that must be addressed.
I think the problem for Arsenal has always been how do they keep hold of their best players? It’s a problem with Arsenal. I hope that trend has finished with Arsenal, because when Robin left, he was probably the best player in the Premier League at that time, and it took a lot of quality out of the team and Arsenal suffered again.

Frimpong certainly makes a fine point, as losing key men has certainly been a problem for Arsenal in the past; with Van Persie a fine example of that.
Instead, the Gunners need to make sure that they’re best players are tied down to long-term deals and that a team is built around them.
A plan can then be put in place and Arsenal can build the foundations for a successful team in both domestic competitions and in Europe.
