# Arsenal fans fearing another Lingard masterclass

Manchester United have a wealth of talent to choose from when they face Arsenal tonight.

Jesse Lingard may not be a player that too many pundits and experts highlight as a potential dangerman, however, Arsenal fans have already been expressing their concern over the inconsistent midfielder.

The England international always seems to impress against the Gunners and his performance at the Emirates back in January will still live fresh in the memory of a number of fans.

These Arsenal fans on social media have been fearing the worst, despite the fact that the player has not scored a competitive goal since that very game in January.

> Twitter: @Afcpmg With good reason too, somehow we’ll make him look world class tomorrow (@DelMoulsdale)

> Twitter: @Afcpmg Because we’ve seen it happen too many times. Lingard only plays well against us. (@SpritusInvictus)

> Twitter: @Afcpmg Exactly. If someone has never scored or not scored for years, it’s nailed on we will let them score, or sco… https://t.co/g3O4cXaD5V (@GoonerBadger)

It’s fair to say that Lingard has these Arsenal fans worried!

Which in itself, for a player that has not scored since January 2019, is quite astonishing.

It remains to be seen if the player will start at Old Trafford this evening, but clearly these fans will be hoping that he doesn’t.

He was always a player that promised to be a great talent but his development has stagnated in recent years. Arsenal will hope that continues on Monday night.
