Mesut Ozil has reportedly been transfer listed by Arsenal, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, as cited on the Express.
It is claimed that the player no longer has a place in Unai Emery’s plans, with the club stepping up their efforts to try and move him on.
Clubs in Turkey, China and America are said to be admirers of the player – but no approaches have been made as of yet. Are the Gunners making a mistake?

This feels like it has been coming for a while at Arsenal. Ozil has become a marginalised figure under Unai Emery and it finally looks like the manager and the club have made a decision on his future.
It remains to be seen what’s next for Ozil, but from Arsenal’s perspective, they need to make a decision and stand by it. For far too long, the German’s future has been a huge talking point.
They appear to be backing their manager and by moving Ozil on, they will free up a huge chunk in their wage budget.
Finding potential suitors for the player may not be so easy, such is the size of Ozil’s wages, he’ll no doubt be forced into taking a significant wage cut if he is to move on.
