Arsenal fans call for Bellerin and Tierney against United following apparent fitness boost

Arsenal fans call for Bellerin and Tierney against United following apparent fitness boost

Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney both made their first appearances of the season in the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the week.

Tierney was selected in the starting line up for his Gunners debut, and after 77 solid minutes, he made way for Bellerin, who instantly set up Joe Willock for Arsenal’s third goal of the game.

Both seemingly came through the game unscathed, which has left many excited at the prospect of the pair starting together in a Premier League encounter.

The Gunners’ latest injury update showed no signs of either Bellerin or Tierney, which seemingly means the pair are edging towards full fitness.

And these Arsenal fans replied to the news, calling for the pair to feature against United.

Read Arsenal verdict

It would certainly leave Arsenal fans extremely excited if both Bellerin and Tierney are on the teamsheet come 7pm on Monday evening, but we have a sneaky suspicion only one may feature.

Bellerin only has 13 minutes of competitive action under his belt since making his long-awaited return and may need some more minutes before he is ready to start a vital Premier League fixture.

Tierney has more minutes to his name and looked extremely sharp against Forest in the week, so out of the two, we think he has a much better chance of featuring.

It would be a risky call for Emery to start both Bellerin and Tierney, and if these Gunners fans had their way, they’d probably start the pair of them as Arsenal look to add to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United woes.
