# “We’re out” – Arsenal fans in defeated spirits after they draw Liverpool in Carabao Cup

Arsenal were drawn away at Liverpool in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup, and the news hasn’t gone down well with some Gunners fans.

Unai Emery was hoping that the 3-1 defeat at Anfield last month would be the only time his Gunners side would have to travel to the red side of Merseyside.

But after they were paired together on Wednesday evening, he’ll have to take his squad to face Jurgen Klopp’s men at the end of October.

These Arsenal fans were quick to reply to the news of the draw on social media, with many already in a defeated mood.

### Read Arsenal verdict

It’s easy to see why these Arsenal fans are so disappointed at the draw, as it couldn’t have been much worse, however, there are definitely some positives Emery can look into ahead of the meeting.

Both sides made numerous changes against their lower league opponents in the week and will more than likely do the same next month.

Klopp will be prioritising both the Premier League and the Champions League, so it’s unlikely the Gunners will be coming up against a full-strength Liverpool side like they did last month.

If both managers named the same line ups from the previous round, then the Gunners will have a serious shot at progressing into the last eight, which could prove to be the catalyst to their season.
