Arsenal fans have poked fun at Man United supporters after learning that recent comments circulating around social media from Arsene Wenger were in fact fake.
There had been quotes published by several media outlets, supposedly from Wenger himself, that suggested he would be interested in taking over at Old Trafford.
It was claimed that he described the role as a ‘dream job’, but it has now been confirmed by Get French Football News that the quotes were fake.
After Man United fans got their hopes up on social media, these Arsenal supporters think they’ve had the last laugh.

United fans will be feeling a little bit silly after some sections of the fan base appeared to get over excited about these fake quotes.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be under a little more pressure than he realises if some fans are getting excited about the prospect of an Arsenal legend replacing him at Old Trafford.
One Arsenal fan suggested it was mind games from Wenger ahead of Monday’s fixture. While that has not been confirmed, it adds another layer of spice to one of the Premier League’s oldest rivalries if nothing else.
