Fans react as ex-Arsenal stars hail Holding’s Forest performance

Rob Holding was a rock at the back for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup win on Tuesday night.

The defender has been hailed for his performance and after taking to social media to celebrate the win, it appears that he hasn’t gone unnoticed with some of the club’s former players.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey were among those to hail the defender for his starring role and it has left these Arsenal fans on Twitter feeling a little emotional.

It really is great to see Holding not only get the plaudits for an impressive performance but also to see the club’s former players recognise that as well.

There have been far too many players that have left the club under negative circumstances and have gone on to become pantomime villains with supporters.

It’s great to see that this isn’t the case with Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain, who both clearly appreciated Holding’s performance.

Arsenal fans will now be hoping to see more of the same from the defender in the Premier League.
