“Legend” – Arsenal fans heap praise on Ljungberg as pressure on Emery builds

Arsenal fans have heaped praise on Freddie Ljungberg, with some suggesting the former Gunners midfielder could be in line for an interim role very soon as pressure continues to mount on Unai Emery.

Ljungberg, who was part of Arsenal’s Invincibles side, is now a first-team coach after impressing with the club’s Under-23 side.

The Swede has already helped the likes of Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka all acclimatise to first-team life, with many Gunners youngsters heaping praise on Ljungberg over recent weeks.

And now, these Arsenal fans have continued to praise the 42-year-old on social media, with some calling for Ljungberg to recieve an interim role if Emery leaves the Emirates this season.

Arsenal clearly rate Ljungberg very highly, so if Emery continues to struggle and eventually receives the sack, the Swede could be in pole position to land the job on a temporary basis.

Another former player, Mikel Arteta, has also been linked with a return to the Emirates in the past, so a former Gunners star could be the next man in charge permanently following Emery’s tenure in north London.
