Guendouzi and Nelson nominated for Golden Boy award – can they win it?

Reiss Nelson and Matteo Guendouzi have both been named among the nominations for Tuttosport’s Golden Boy award.

The Italian outlet have once again published their list of nominees and the Arsenal pair will face stiff competition.

Vinicius Junior, Kai Havertz and Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt are among some of the biggest names up for the award.

Closer to home, Chelsea’s Mason Mount is included, as is Phil Foden and new Everton signing Moise Kean.

Both players are fantastic young talents and it is a great achievement for them to be nominated for the award.

Such is the competition that they are up against, it will be a tough ask for either of them to come away with the prize, but they can take great pride in being included in the list.

Out of the two, Guendouzi will be ahead of Nelson in the running you would imagine after nailing down a regular first-team spot at the Emirates.

The Frenchman has a very bright future ahead of him and if he continues to develop in a similar vein, awards and accolades will no doubt follow.
