Arsenal began their Europa League campaign in fine style by beating Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 away in Germany.
Two academy products Joe Willock and Bukayo Saka scored the opening two goals for the Gunners before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrapped up the victory with his customary goal.
The away side took the lead in the 38th minute when both the youngsters combined and Willock had his shot deflected into the back of the net.
Frankfurt had their chances to equalise but Arsenal ‘keeper on the day Emiliano Martinez made some very good saves to keep a clean sheet.
The home side then went down to 10 men in the 79th minute after Dominik Kohr collected a second yellow card offence and there was no doubt about his dismissal.
Arsenal doubled their lead after Nicolas Pepe found Saka 25 yards away from goal. The latter then unleashed an unstoppable shot leaving Kevin Trapp with no chance.
He then set up Aubameyang for a goal in the dying embers of the game to cap off a good evening’s work for the Gunners.
