Fans react after learning Arsenal hierarchy's slight doubt on Unai Emery

Unai Emery has endured a tough September with the Gunners after a fairly bright start to the campaign.

A north London derby draw against Tottenham before the international break was followed by a dismal display against Watford, which has left many Arsenal fans wondering whether or not the Spaniard is the right man to take the club forward.

And now, transfer expert Ian McGarry, talking on The Transfer Window podcast, cited by @LTArsenal, has claimed that Gunners officials are starting to have a slight doubt on Emery.

It was a bit more by luck than design that they [Arsenal] finished as high as they did last season. And there’s a little bit of doubt creeping into the Arsenal hierarchy about Unai Emery, specifically with Josh Kroenke.

These Arsenal fans quickly replied to the news, with many heaping praise on the board for finally seeing some doubt in the Spaniard.

It doesn’t appear to be just the two recent draws that have left some fans wanting Emery to recieve the sack.

Arsenal backed him in the summer transfer window financially, however, the defensive frailties still remain at the Emirates.

The Gunners have had 96 shots against them in their first five league games, the most in any of Europe’s top five leagues.

Two more Premier League games before the end of the month against Aston Villa and Manchester United, as well as a Carabao Cup tie against Nottingham Forest, appear to be vital in Emery’s attempts to win back the fans, and by the looks of it, he also needs to stop any doubt the Arsenal hierarchy now have.
