# Arsenal fans reminisce about memorable Sol Campbell quote

Sol Campbell won four major honours with Arsenal after swapping White Hart lane for Highbury back in 2001.

The towering central defender’s move across North London was an extremely controversial one at the time and is still spoken about to this day.

The Englishman went on to win the Premier League twice, with Arsene Wenger’s side sealing the title at White Hart Lane in 2004 in the Gunners’ ‘Invincible’ campaign.

Campbell turned 45 on Wednesday, so Arsenal supporter [@PatrickTimmons1](https://twitter.com/PatrickTimmons1/status/1174209222713778177) shared a memorable quote from the defender on his time with the Gunners.

> Twitter: ‘I always dreamed of winning the league at White Hart Lane, so I left and joined Arsenal’ – Sol Campbell.

And these fans were quick to reply to the post, with many heaping praise on the former defender.

### Read Arsenal verdict

The quote from Campbell is iconic and one that will probably be brought up again and again in years to come.

He recently ended his first taste of management with Macclesfield Town and it looks as if he is on the hunt for a job further up the pyramid.

Campbell remarkably kept the Silkmen in the Football League last season, so could he potentially be the Arsenal boss in the future?

If he somehow does end up taking to the dugout at the Emirates then Gunners fans should brace themselves for some more memorable quotes.
