Arsenal may have conceded twice on Sunday, but if it wasn’t for Bernd Leno things could have been a whole lot worse.
As per WhoScored, cited by @afcstuff, the German goalkeeper was forced to make as many as eight saves during the game against Watford.
A staggering number for a goalkeeper in a team of Arsenal’s quality.
After learning of this, these Arsenal fans on social media have been left feeling sorry for the player.

There aren’t many positives to take from the result, but one of them might well be that it could have been much worse.
Leno did well to keep the scores at 2-2 and denied French midifelder Abdoulaye Doucoure late on as the hosts went in search of a winner.

The Gunners’ defensive fragility has been the big talking point in the wake of the result and with tough games on the horizon, it’s something that they are going to have to rectify quickly.
In one regard, it is good to see Leno get some praise after a difficult afternoon for the club. He has been one of their more consistent players during the early stages of the season, with WhoScored giving him a rating of 6.79, the fifth highest in the squad out of players to make at least five appearances.
