# Arsenal fans want Gimenez signed after he’s pictured alongside Torreira

Arsenal star Lucas Torreira has been pictured alongside his international team-mate Jose Gimenez on social media and this has given some supporters ideas about a potential transfer.

The Atletico Madrid defender is highly rated and after seeing the pair together, a number of Arsenal supporters want to see the player at the Emirates in the near future.

There are no recent transfer rumours linking the player to Arsenal, but judging by these reactions on social media, these fans certainly wouldn’t be against the idea.

You’d have to imagine that Jose Gimenez is not going to be a player that we see join the Gunners anytime soon.

While there is no doubting he would be a fantastic addition to the squad, he has not long signed a new deal at Atletico Madrid and is very much a key part of their new-look defence under Diego Simeone.

It is a shame because it would be great to see a player of Gimenez’s quality not only in the Premier League but at Arsenal too but this may be one step too far for the Gunners.
