Arsene Wenger has recently dropped a sensational hint at a potential Arsenal return in the future.
The 69-year-old, who has been out of managerial work since leaving the Gunners last year, has recently been tipped to take a director’s role with FIFA, despite insisting he wants to return to the dugout.

However, the Frenchman, who won 10 major honours during his 22-year stint in North London, has revealed he has been in contact with officials from the Gunners since he left the club.
Talking to the media, cited by AFTV Media, over a potential Arsenal return, Wenger said:
I have been in touch with people at the club but I felt when you go like that you cannot be half in, half out. You let people who come in work their way. I wanted to take a complete distance. It’s still a bit early, to go back.
These Arsenal fans were excited at the prospect of the former boss returning in the future.

In the coming years, bringing Wenger back in a potential directors role at the Emirates could prove to be an extremely shrewd move by the Gunners, however, as Wenger stated himself, a return in the immediate future is too soon.
‘He knows the club’ is a saying that goes around when it comes to appointments, and that saying would ring true if Wenger made the move back to North London. The Frenchman would also bring a real sense of leadership to the Emirates in any role he is handed.
It seems as if he would be willing to return by admitting it’s still a bit early to go back, but the idea of Wenger returning in a role higher up the ladder certainly appeals to us.
