# Arsenal fans call for Chambers to come in at right-back – a sensible move?

Unai Emery will have a defensive selection headache this weekend when Arsenal return to Premier League action against Watford.

The Gunners have conceded five times in their previous two outings, with many calling for either Sokratis or David Luiz to be left out.

Callum Chambers started in the club’s only clean sheet of the season against Newcastle United, while Rob Holding looks set to return from a lengthy absence this month.

Full-backs Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney are also on the road to recovery, however, it is Chambers who has been the hot topic with Arsenal fans.

[@LTArsenal](https://twitter.com/ltarsenal/status/1170776641888370689) shared their opinion on the Englishman and called for the defender to come in against the Hornets at Vicarage Road.

However, these Arsenal fans were quick to reply to the post, hoping that Chambers can come in at right-back over Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

> Twitter: @ltarsenal Tbf I would start him instead of AMN. Chambers have played in that position before and he is much better defensively than AMN. (@sandall7k)

> Twitter: @ltarsenal I think he will be the best right back for now (@ElagamyMahmood)

Chambers has played at right-back in the past, so it could be a good idea to give Maitland-Niles a break over the coming weeks.

Bellerin will more than likely become Emery’s first-choice right-back when he’s fully fit, but before then, Chambers could provide a more solid defensive base over Maitland-Niles.

Maitland-Niles hasn’t really done anything wrong to warrant being dropped, however, something needs to be changed at the back.

Holding could also come in for either Sokratis or Luiz when fully fit, so we won’t be surprised to see a change across the back four come Sunday afternoon.
