# “No brainer” – Arsenal fans buzzing after hearing latest Fraser news

Arsenal brought in Nicolas Pepe from Lille in a £72 million club-record deal this summer, however, things could have been different.

The Gunners were thought to be keeping a close eye on Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser before turning their attention to the Ivorian, and it appears as if the in-demand Scot is keeping his options open this season.

He’s currently in the final 12 months of his current Cherries contract and is [reportedly willing to turn down a new offer on the south coast to stay in control of his immediate future](https://readarsenal.com/?p=58354), which has sparked wide speculation of the Gunners attempting to secure his services on a free transfer next summer.

And these Arsenal fans took to social media to share their excitement at the news.

We’re with these Arsenal fans in thinking a move for Fraser would be an excellent piece of business.

The 25-year-old is entering the prime of his career, and a potential free transfer would definitely strengthen the Gunners’ attacking options.

He’d bring plenty of pace, Premier League experience and a prolific goal involvement record to the Emirates, not bad for a free transfer.

Fraser, who provided 14 assists in the league last season, would more than likely be keen on a move to the Emirates after the summer speculation, so his future is certainly one to keep a close eye on over the coming months.
