Eddie Nketiah eventually made the decision to join Leeds United on deadline day last month and has already scored three goals in five appearances for the Whites.
The highly-rated striker was wanted by over 20 clubs during the window, with Leeds, Bristol City and Fortuna Düsseldorf making the final shortlist of potential destinations for the 20-year-old.

However, it appears as if the youngster went against Unai Emery’s wishes in pursuing a temporary move away from North London.
Nketiah, talking to the Daily Mail, cited by HITC, admitted that Emery was hoping he’d stay at the Emirates.
The manager wanted me to stay so it’s really confidence-boosting for me that he had me in his plans.
I felt like it was a good step for me to come to Leeds. I hope it’s a good year that can leave me in good stead going back to Arsenal to fight for a place.
There were a lot of options, there were options for me to go to Germany but me, my family and the club decided Leeds was the best place.

Nketiah’s decision to join Leeds on loan should end up being one that ultimately pays off in the long run.
Despite not starting a Championship game to date, the forward will more than likely be handed his chance by Marcelo Bielsa soon enough.
He’ll definitely get more minutes with the Whites this season than he would of if he remained with the Gunners, and the added physical edge that the Championship brings will only help the striker’s development.
It’s refreshing to hear Nketiah’s willingness to leave the Emirates against Emery’s wishes to prove he’s good enough to break into his side next season, and all Arsenal and Leeds fans will be hoping his decision pays off over the next eight months.
