Ex-Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood seems to have developed a habit of defending his former club in the media.
His latest comments about Christian Eriksen’s future have seen him once again leap to the defence of Spurs, giving these Arsenal fans plenty to say about the 50-year-old.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ The Debate, as cited on Give Me Sport, Sherwood gave his thoughts on the Dane’s future.
Christian Eriksen wants to leave the football club because he wants to go to a club where he thinks he can win trophies. I believe that’s a difficult task, to find a club better than Tottenham to win trophies.
The reactions from these Arsenal fans about Tottenham’s trophy chances and Sherwood’s comments have been priceless.

Sherwood’s outlook on Tottenham was always going to cause some reaction from rival fans, so it comes as no surprise to see this.
Tottenham have threatened to win some silverware in recent years and did well to make the Champions League final last season. However, you cannot ignore the fact that the club have not won a major honour since their League Cup win back in 2008.
Not many would blame Eriksen if he is to pursue a move away from the Premier League. He has been a good servant to Spurs but looks set for bigger and better things.
