Wojciech Szczesny was quite the character during his 11-year stay in North London.
The shot-stopper made over 150 appearances for the Gunners before leaving the Emirates permanently in 2017 for Juventus.

Szczesny won two FA Cups and one Community Shield under Arsene Wenger and has since become Juventus’ first-choice in recent years.
And the Poland international has recently produced this brilliant quote, as cited by @afcstuff, on his time on loan at AS Roma and current stint at Juventus, where he was battling both Alisson and Gianluigi Buffon for a starting place.
At Roma, I benched the best goalkeeper in the world. At Juventus, I benched the best keeper ever. Turns out I’m the best goalkeeper in history!
These Arsenal fans were quick to respond to the goalkeeper’s comments on social media.
@quincho_urvi: He benched Fabianski, so I trust him.
@ltruthbishop: You can’t take that away from him.
@usfgooner: Healthy ego on the guy.
@romeromorais: Confidence is everything.

Szczesny’s claims have put a smile on our faces. Even though his statements regarding Alisson and Buffon are true, we think the 29-year-old may well be joking around when describing himself as ‘the best goalkeeper in history’.
The Pole did keep Alisson out of the side during his two-year loan stint in Rome and fiercely battled Buffon for the number one spot in Turin during the 2017-18 campaign.
And following Buffon’s return to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, Szczesny has started the current campaign as first-choice under Maurizo Sarri.
He did concede three in the second Serie A fixture of the season against Napoli, so the former Arsenal man will need to consistently perform over the coming weeks or face being dropped for Buffon, which would be pretty awkward following his lastest claims.
